I’d only seen a few pink flamingos since here in South Florida: plastic decor poked in neighbors’ yards, and the groovy print on the capris pants I bought from the Trouser Shop as a Welcome-to-Florida gift-to-myself (these will get their own post in the future).

When at Wakodahatchee weeks ago, we thought we were finally seeing real live Flamingos only to realize they were actually Roseate Spoonbills, which are still pretty cool (think Dodo Bird-meets-Flamingo).

So I got pretty excited when I saw the little pink painting above, but even moreso when I scooted around to find the best angle to shoot and spotted its lovely flip-side… this sweet Sailfish.
